Meet the Director

     Ann Raymond is a cellist, educator,  wife and mother and has worked for Berkeley County Schools for 21 years. She began her career  in BCSD as the orchestra director at Berkeley High School and Berkeley Middle School. Prior to this, she worked for Robinson County Schools  in North Carolina for four years as a choir director and orchestra director. Mrs. Raymond studied at Marshall University in Huntington, WV, Lesley University,  Chambers, MA and Charleston Southern University, SC. She has performed in various groups and orchestras including the Fayetteville Symphony, Calistro String Quartet, Cello Amore,  Avalon Duo, Southcoast Symphony and various chamber groups. In addition, she runs a private lesson studio from home. During Mrs. Raymond's career her orchestras have received Superior and Excellent ratings at various  musical festivals and events. Also, her students have been accepted into the Governor's Schools of the Arts and College music programs. Currently, she will be working at Marrington Middle School of the Arts and BHS.
